Meet Kate

Nanda Yoga is owned and operated by Kate Murphy, a Fort Worth native and Trinity Valley alumni. Kate graduated from the University of Texas in 2007 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. In 2008 Kate received her first 30-hour children’s yoga certification through Radiant Child Yoga and from there has acquired additional certifications through Kidding Around Yoga, Karma Kid Yoga, The Little Yoga House, Kira Willey, and YoKid as well as business coaching through Next Generation Yoga. Kate is a registered yoga teacher at the 200-hour level and is also certified in Pre/Post Natal Yoga, Baby Yoga and Movement, and Infant Massage Therapy. She is also a certified Playmaker through the Life is Good Foundation.

Prior to forming Nanda Yoga, Kate lived and worked in Switzerland and France. She thoroughly enjoyed her travels and experiences abroad.  She moved home in 2010 to begin her professional career as a Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) at Cook Children’s Medical Center.

Working with children has always been Kate’s passion and she is so excited to create this amazing yoga sanctuary for families here in her hometown. It is truly an honor!

When Kate is not teaching yoga she loves exploring the great outdoors and running around with her 2 boys, Garrett and Bennett and husband, Jim.
